Wipes packer takes steps to meet demand brought on by Covid-19

Shemesh Automation Wet Wipes, a premium maker of canister wipes downstream packaging turnkey lines, is taking steps to better support its U.S. customer base during COVID-19. As of now, Shemesh has temporarily relocated three of its “essential” after sales professionals into the region. The decision took place as clients are currently working around the clock to meet demand in a zero-downtime tolerance environment “With our nonwovens related installation base seeing dramatic increase over the past few years, the decision to boost our client’s confidence by being closer to them right now was a pretty straight forward one for us to make given the ongoing COVID-19 environment,” says Mark Calliari, director of North American Operations. “These are not ordinary times, and even more so for the vital nonwovens industry in which we operate very intensively. I want to personally thank US Senator Ron Johnson who helped with clearing the path in letting some of our techs pass through the U.S. border for this incredibly important task. I feel pretty proud and honored in taking part in Shemesh Automation cementing a constant, robust supply of disinfecting wipes to our country when it needs these vitals COVID-19 war tools the most.”
The Shemesh professionals to be deployed across the US for an initial period of 30 days with extensions to that timeframe as needed.
